Is down for maintenance. Try again February 2010, thanks.
Actually, the "message of the day" for our sad country on its way to Fascism In Our Time, is "National General Strike" for Single-Payer Health Care, one day each month for three months after which it should be once per Week - and then people should just sit home until the <epithets> give us our due. You know, because otherwise we watched ourselves made slaves of "just like that", because not one of us is brave enough to be the first person bloodied by a cop. That's their reasoning. I would suggest shutting Wall Street down, literally, just pack bodies in until nothing can move.
When it's either us or them, I'd suggest we be the ones calling the shots at the end - otherwise, decide how much you want to say "thank you" for the gruel of an existence we're all doomed to, unless we decisively eject the criminals from governance of World Affairs the World Over: beginning in America, a country that made us promise to protect it every day of our school years. {if you serve the nation the pledge is to defend it from enemies foreign and domestic. but of course what do you do when your government is being run by a group of people most of whom are its domestic enemies?}
I sat out the pledge starting in the 10th grade. They were embarrassed for me but I said,
the Real America doesn't require a pledge and wouldn't stand for its ideals if it compelled one
from me. They were nervous but left me alone. I always was and still am more a patriot than
any of them who pledged for the sake of ritual. The first place to fight locally is your
local media stations: you Make them broadcast people SAYING things like "I'm really worried
about the FASCISM", we really need to hear that particular word, I'm afraid.
You don't need a weatherman to tell you which way the wind's blowing.
